The School Nutrition Association of Ohio is an affiliate of the School Nutrition Association.  The SNA of Ohio has been advancing the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education since 1968. The Association strives to see that all children have access to healthful school meals and nutrition education. The primary activities of the association are:
  • Providing education and training
  • Gathering and transmitting regulatory, legislative, industry, nutritional and other types of information related to school nutrition members
  • Representing the overall nutritional interests of all children

The Industry Advisory Council (IAC) consists of 12 members, of which the chair and vice chair represent industry members at SNA of Ohio board meetings.  This structure puts increased emphasis on industry participation and involvement, particularly from non-food vendors.  The IAC will send a call for nominations to current members regarding open seats when available annually.  A prerequisite for IAC participation is that the member must be in good standing and currently employed by a company that holds current Platinum member status.
