What is the SNA of Ohio?

The School Nutrition Association of Ohio promotes healthful meals and nutrition education.  SNA of Ohio members nourish the minds of Ohio’s students on a daily basis, providing them with the fuel they need to learn in the classroom.  As the leading authority on school lunch in Ohio, the SNA of Ohio is committed to advancing good nutrition for all students.

The SNA of Ohio works to ensure all children of Ohio have access to healthful school meals and nutrition education by:

  • Providing members with education opportunities and training
  • Supporting standards set through credentialing and certification by the School Nutrition Association
  • Gathing and transmitting regulatory, legislative, industry, nutritional and other types of information related to school nutrition
  • Representing the nutrition interests of all Ohio children

    ODE Announces Training on New School Meal Patterns and Commodity Ordering System

    The Office for Child Nutrition announces training regarding the New School Meal Patterns and the New Commodity (CATS 12) Ordering System.   The training is mandatory for the Food Service Supervisor and the Commodity Contact person for each School Food Authority.   Please register at Https://oh.cnpcares.com/splash.asp Click - Register for Training

    Please register for only one session. At each location, daily site registration will begin at 8:00 am for the 8:30 am to 12:00 morning session. The afternoon registration will begin at 12:30 pm for the 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm afternoon session. The afternoon content will be a repeat of the morning session.  Please register for only one session. If you are unable to register at the training location designated for your area because the sessions are no longer accepting registrations due to high capacity, please select another location. Registration will be on a first come – first served basis.  Parking will be available at the training location site.

    The Ohio legislature recently passed the Ohio budget bill and, included in the bill, were changes to the beverage standards which were recently passed in SB210 late last year. The new changes apply only to the beverage standards and specifically to the milk component of the standard.
